Project name:

Brooklyn Townhouse X

Project description:

Brooklyn Townhouse X is the rejuvenation of a dilapidated wood frame 3 family townhouse in the Gowanus district. The building was gut renovated and converted to a two family home with the addition of one floor on top and a rear extension, maximizing the available floor area. The owners occupy the top 2 1/2 floors, with an inversion of the typical stacking – providing the dining room and kitchen on the top floor adjacent to roof terraces, with the living room on the floor below in a double height space. The lower rental unit occupies a portion of the first and second floors with a cellar rec room.

The stucco was removed from the facade, with new windows and a decorative cement board paneling with custom detailing to create a textured look.

The building is 5,000 s.f. gross and was completed in 2025
